Ubud Monkey Forest Price

Ubud Monkey Forest Price - The monkey forest is a popular attraction in Ubud. Everyone I’ve talked to about Ubud mentioned going there. This was my first stop in Ubud after checking into my hotel. The Ubud monkey forest is located in the central part of Ubud and approximately 340 Crab-eating Macaques live there.

This is closest thing you will get to "Planet of the Apes" and "Jurassic Park".
Walking inside the forest, you will constantly be on guard as you are surrounded by the most one of the most mischievous creatures on earth.  Be warned, you do not want to have a bulging pocket, or make a crumple sound with plastic bags. Actually, do not bring plastic bags, or wear colourful hats or put anything in your pockets. You will get jumped on by monkeys.

Apart from the lawlessness -I witnessed a fight, an attempted rape and breast feedings with 5 minutes of entering the park, it's pretty fascinating observing a very human-like creature up close.  It is for sure an experience you will remember for a long time, especially if you've been bitten.

Note: The easiest way to get there is to hire a taxi for an entire day. They should not charge you more than USD $50. You can give the driver money for lunch and dinner if he's helpful and friendly. Do not accept his recommendations for restaurants. The chances are he will take you to an "affiliated" place that's not very good and will over charge. After the park, you can head for Ubud Market and have cup of cat-poo coffee and sandwiches at at Anomali Coffee.
